Clubs are reminded that they need to inform the Match Secretary about all changes to fixtures.
As advised previously, submission of the list of registered players was essential before the first match - not all clubs complied. An audit will be occuring over the next few weeks to esnure all players are members of BADMINTON England.
Any players who are not members of BADMINTON England will be deemed as unregistered and any games won will be forfiet together with a 2 point penalty per match imposed on their club.
A grace period will be allowed between registering a player and that player becoming a paid up member of BADMINTON England.

09/11/11 Back Online!
As many of you have noticed, the website has been off air for nearly a month.
A serious complaint was made on behalf of a member club about publishing members' names on the website. Due to the serious nature of the accusation and the wider ranging implications, if the complaint was found to be justified, it was decided to suspend the website. The complaint centered around three issues:
- No permission had been provided to publish the names of club members
- Publishing club members' names was contrary of the Data Protection Act
- Publishing club members' names was a breach of privacy
At last night's meeting of the SDBA Committee, it was ruled that the complaint was without foundation.
The intention to publish club members' names was rasied at the AGM and furthermore, the club in question had granted permission to publish the list of names of their club members
The Committee also ruled that the Data Protection Act had not been breached nor had members privacy.
A Privacy Policy for the website will be published in due course
Any individual club member who prefers for his / her name not to be published or to be removed from the website should request this by email to badminton@turner.tv
The website will be updated with the latest results as quickly as possible.

As a reminder the meeting is on Thursday 22nd September at Westgate Badminton Centre and will start promptly at 7:30pm.
17/09/11 - Treasurer Required
Brenda Thorne is stepping down as Treasurer so we will be lookig for a volunteer at the AGM to join the Committee as Treasurer. Please ask around your clubs to try to find someone who is willing to be Treasurer. We cannot run the League without a Treasurer and so if no-one comes forward at the AGM then there is a real possibility that the League won't run in 2011/12.
